Based entirely on interviews with the participants and their friends, the film follows a group of exiles - transplants from Southwest reservations, as they flirt, drink, party, fight, and dance. Filmmaker Kent Mackenzie first conceived of The Exiles during the making of his short film Bunker Hill in 1956 while a student at the University of Southern California. In July 1957, Mackenzie began to hang around with some of the young Indians in downtown Los Angeles. After a couple of months, he broached the subject of making a film that would present a realistic portrayal of Indian life in the community. # 20.00 - LOVE IS A LOOSING GAME

Apache Chronicle is a poetic film about five bold young indigenous women, artist and skateboarders connected to Apache Skateboards. The women, in their twenties are at the beginning of their careers and the balance of their culture in a modern time. This is a film where pride, art, creativity, culture and raw beauty is presented by the women, in their own voices. And it channels the power of believing in what you do and the power of finding those like-minded to move forward with. This is just their beginning. ........................................................................ DJs & LIVE SETS: ENOCH ROOT aka Ziggy &
